Founded by Howard Wagner, Wagner Trucking begins gravel mining operations.

Vernell Wagner

Howard's son, Vernell, assumes leadership of Wagner Trucking after his father's retirement.

The Wagner Company, Inc.

Tom Severence marries into the Wagner family and joins Vernell, leading to the diversification of services and the rebranding of the business as The Wagner Company, Inc.

Services Expand

The company expands services to include grading roads and providing road care, including snow removal for six townships.

1990

Equipment Inventory Grows

Equipment inventory grows, allowing expansion into demolition, driveway and road construction, excavating, ditch cleanout, mound sewer systems, basement digging, and more.

James Lubenow

James Lubenow marries into the Wagner family and joins the Wagner Company team.

2019-Present

Today

Following Tom Severance's retirement, James Lubenow assumes leadership of the company. Wagner Company experiences significant growth and acquires The Morris Sand & Gravel Pit. Wagner Company, now with 17 employees and top-of-the-line equipment, continues its legacy of reliability, honesty, and efficiency in serving the local community's excavation and construction needs.
